Question - MSN
OK... question... What do you think about having deep conversations on MSN? Do you think it's taking over talking in person, and is this a bad thing? Really think about it. People now-a-days are using msn for everything. Are we using it sometimes as a scapegoat instead of confronting someone in person? Is this a bad thing? Let me know what you think!!

I hate MSN with a passion. I say this with tongue in cheek, partially because I'm a Relient K fan, and partially because I use it. It is convenient for keeping in touch with people you wouldn't keep in touch with otherwise, however it is highly impersonal and it is degrading the English language. In my experience, it also causes many needless misunderstandings.
I find that if I'd PREFER doing an important conversation via MSN, i've got a problem :)
I have had severe consequences follow from having serious conversations over MSN. People have mistaken what I've sad, and I've gotten in huge fights resulting in broken relationships (this was when I was a teenager, not now). Also it made me unable to talk to people in real life. I'd wait till I saw them on MSN to talk to them. I actually haven't quite recovered from that yet...
It can be bad. Communication skills aren't built on a computer screen.
Miss you Dana!
Hey Dana! I didn't know you had a blog! I am so excited to see that you have one.
Durkees miss Dana a lot!
I totally agree. With MSN there's no face-to-face contact and you can say what you want and feel no immediate repercussions.

MSN is a last resort... however, it is no worse than keeping in touch through a blog... and that is all I have time for! I miss you Dana, hope you are well!
DANA! YAY! Long time no communicado, eh? Kayla (Bryan) Hadfield, here! Surprise! Glad to have found you! Can't believe it took me so long to do so! MSN can work either way, I think....it depends....I think I agree most with what Matthew said. Glad to see you are doing so well! Well, I am off to the hospital to go have my baby (#2) today! Hope to hear from you sometime!
Love, Kayla
I think like with everything in life there's a balance. Some conversations need to be done in person and people duck out and use msn, but some even serious conversations I think are ok to have over msn. It depends on the content of the conversation and the relationship with the friend. Discretion is key, I'm learning that. Love ya Danar!
Do you think blogging is taking over communication?
